My name is Kaylin Lawing, I am a senior at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC. I am a student in the Vocal Arts department. I have a grade point average of 3.77. My life goals are to complete college with a BA in Commerical Music, to become the best that I can be in the field of music. I want to be in a position of knowledge and wealth to support my parents, my community, classmates that came up alongside me, and the youth coming up behind me. I want to be a positive influence and role model, and an encouragement to others who are struggling with their position in life to let them know that If I made it, they could as well.
