Kaylyn King

I am currently a UW- Stevens Point student studying to become a physical therapist. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin called Hurley where I lived with my mom, dad, and two younger sisters. Growing up I was very involved with high school athletics by being a part of three varsity level sports all four years, cross country, basketball, and softball. From being so passionate about these sports I sustained a few significant injuries over my high school career. I had surgery on both on my knees resulting from a torn meniscus in one and a torn ACL in the other. I also suffered a broken fibula and torn calf muscles my senior year. From these injuries, I was put through numerous months of physical therapy. The therapy helped me be able to bounce back stronger than ever from each injury I had sustained throughout my life. This is what got me interested in becoming a physical therapist myself. I want to be able to help people get back to their normal lives and daily activities the way I was helped to get back to mine.
