About
I am an aspiring student trying to be the voice of children in crisis and stopping the stigma of mental illness. I work full-time, go to school full-time and volunteer to help people. I work as a nurse counselor/nursing assistant in the pediatric psychiatric unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, I help facilitate Dialectical Behavioral Therapies to the adolescents as well as teach coping skills/ exploring emotions with children under 13. I am a volunteer EMT-B for an ambulance service that has captured my heart in caring for the community. I am determined, motivated and driven to be an ARNP for pediatric psychiatric patients in helping them through their crisis.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to further my education and experience by gaining my BSN to work more diligently with the pharmacology of psychiatric drugs in the pediatric field. After my field work and gaining knowledge in that setting I'm motivated to gain my ARNP and open up my own pediatric clinic specializing in Trauma, Preventative Care and exercising therapies to do so.

Loyola University in Chicago, University of Iowa's programs between nursing and counseling.
- Outside the classroom
I love to be active being outside in general. I run obstacle races when they are in season, I love the adrenaline rush and challenge. I am avid in my studies, when I don't have school work sometimes I don't know what to do. I love solving problems and coming up with solutions to fix them. Otherwise I like to spend time with my family, go have fun with my friends. I also love photography, I take all my niece and nephew's photographs; as well as document family gatherings. Music is another passion of mine, I attend country music festivals across state lines throughout the warm months.
