About
My name is Kayra Zsiga and I am 20 years old. I was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona and I currently attend Arizona State University. I have been competitively swimming since I was eight years old and I am getting ready to compete in my 4th year of college swimming as an Arizona State Sun Devil. Aside from competing in amateur athletics, I started playing the piano 3 years ago and continue to play as a senior in college. My life passion is music and writing. This past year I coached a blind athlete, with the foundation for the blind Arizona, who completed the swim from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco. In my own swim career I was able to achieve a US National cut in the 100 fly. My parents are William and Mayra Zsiga and I have a younger sister Chloe (17, U of A student) and older brother Travis ( 24, Temple University Graduate). When I'm not in the library searching for CDs to add to my music collection I am working at Victoria's Secret.

- Career goal
I want to write for a fashion magazine like vogue. I'd also like to write a book about the struggle of juggling a career as an athlete and trying to pursue my passion of music and writing. Eventually I would like to own my record label and produce music.

I am interested in pursuing journalism and writing in graduate school.
