Honors and awards

  • Dean's Honor Roll

I have been on the Dean's Honor roll throughout my entire college experience.

  • Outstanding New Member of the Year

This award meant so much to me because I was a nominee with wonderful people in the WSU Greek community. I received this after completing my first year in my sorority.

  • Gamma Xi Scholarship

It was difficult to balance finances when I first arrived in Wichita. My local chapter of Alpha Phi had just started a scholarship program and I was incredibly humbled to be chosen.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am currently working in a hospital and as a pharmacy technician while attending classes. Both of my current jobs helped me solidify my choice to practice medicine. The long term goal for my career path is to work as a surgical P.A. specializing in neurosurgery or trauma. I thrive in fast paced environments and both of these specialties will compliment my work ethic.

Graduate school interests

Next fall I will be applying to Physician's Assistant programs across the U.S. It took me awhile to find the right path for me in medicine, but now that I have I'm truly excited. Graduate school will come with its own set of challenges, but I've never been more ready to take them head on.

Outside the classroom

Dancing, singing, and entertaining are what I love to do in my spare time. Even helping others to entertain and being behind the scenes is a passion of mine. I have been fortunate enough to help Beta Theta Pi the past several years choreograph a 5-minute lip syncing routine for Songfest; a campus tradition every fall that is a part of a bigger event, Octoberfest. Choreographing is rewarding and an amazing stress reliever.
