About

My name is Kehinde Akinwolere. I am currently a second-year graduate student in Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA. I hold a bachelor’s degree in law from Nigeria and a Licentiate degree from the Nigerian Law School.

With 8 years of professional experience, I’ve worked in various sectors, including corporate law, corporate governance, and maritime. I started my career as a litigation lawyer before transitioning to consulting, where I spent 5 years as a corporate governance consultant. During that time, I led board evaluations, conducted governance audits, and provided compliance advice. Most recently, I served as the legal counsel for Maersk in West Africa, where I focused on the maritime industry.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am currently a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Communication Studies at Ball State University, Indiana. I have had the honor of presenting my research at prestigious conferences such as the SAM International Business Conference 2025, the IEEE Conference in Chicago, and the 2025 IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society. I was also awarded Best Student Researcher of the Year 2025 by the Centre for Information and Communication Sciences.

Alongside my academic and professional work, I volunteer my time as a judge for competitions, having served as a volunteer judge at the 2025 Indiana Robotics State Championship and as a judge for the 2025 Innovate League competition.

These accomplishments, along with my work in communication and governance, continue to fuel my passion for contributing to research and education, with a focus on leadership and governance in the data-driven world.
