With a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, my intended career path is to advance into leadership roles within Information Technology, particularly in cybersecurity, systems management, or IT project management. I plan to leverage both my technical education and my experience as a Financial Management Specialist with the Smithsonian Institution to bridge the gap between technology and financial operations.

My goal is to contribute to secure, efficient, and innovative technology solutions within the federal government while continuing to grow professionally through certifications and advanced training. Ultimately, I aspire to hold a senior-level IT leadership position where I can mentor others, improve organizational systems, and support mission-driven initiatives.

Graduate School Interests

After completing my bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, I plan to pursue graduate studies that further strengthen both my technical expertise and leadership capabilities. My primary interests include a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Information Technology Management.

I am particularly interested in programs that combine technical depth with strategic leadership, risk management, and emerging technologies. Given my experience as a Financial Management Specialist with the Smithsonian Institution and my background in military service, I am motivated to expand my knowledge in areas that support secure systems, data protection, and efficient organizational operations.

Through graduate education, I aim to position myself for senior-level IT leadership roles within the federal government, where I can contribute to innovation, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and mentor future professionals in the field.
