Kelbi Thompson

My name is Kelbi Thompson, and I am a Las Vegas local. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's in Project Management at the College of Southern Nevada. My family moved to Las Vegas when I was three years old, so I've grown to see the city change and evolve. My mother worked for the Metro Police Department for more than 20 years. Hard work and dedication are the lessons she instilled in me during my childhood. Prior to covid-19, I was a Licensing Associate for 3C Cannabis, assisting clients in completing state applications to obtain their legal facility license. My career in the legal cannabis industry began in 2015 when Nevada launched its medical cannabis program. Once I became a budtender at the 3rd dispensary to open in Las Vegas, my career and academic path changed. The legal cannabis industry has inspired me more than words could express.
I chose to attend the College of Southern Nevada because it allowed me an amazing education with smaller classroom settings and great teachers. I strive to bring diversity and compliance to the legal cannabis industry in any way that I can.
