Kelli Knight

Returning to academia after nearly two decades in the film and television industry, I am a dedicated and high-achieving student pursuing a career transition into social justice and law. With extensive experience as a Post Production Producer, I have honed skills in project management, team collaboration, and creative problem-solving, which I now leverage in my academic pursuits.

Currently studying Social Justice Studies with a focus on marginalized and oppressed communities, I have earned a Gender and Sexualities Certificate (June 2024) and am on track to complete my AA in Social Justice Studies and Sociology by December 2024, followed by an AA in Anthropology and AS in Psychology in Spring 2025. My academic excellence is reflected in a 4.0 GPA, placement on the Dean's List with Great Distinction, membership in Phi Theta Kappa and the National Honor Society, and a finalist position for Valedictorian.

As an active participant in the Honors Program at Long Beach City College, I am also managing social media for the LA chapter of a national organization dedicated to social justice. My commitment extends to a Health Fellowship starting in September 2024, focusing on support for marginalized communities, and I am working towards a paralegal certification to further enhance my legal expertise (was just accepted to UCLA Extension's Paralegal Training Program starting September 2024).
