Kelvin Navarrete

I’m a finance student with a 3.9 GPA, born and raised in Houston, Texas, and the proud son of two Hispanic parents. My background has shaped the values I bring to both school and work, including discipline, responsibility, perseverance, and a strong appreciation for hard work and opportunity.

Alongside school, I’ve spent three years building leadership experience in retail, where I was promoted to Shift Supervisor within eight months. Since then, I’ve gained hands-on experience with cash reconciliation, bank deposits, audits, inventory control, customer service, and training 15 employees.

My interest in finance continues to grow through learning about banking, investing, financial decision-making, and how financial concepts apply in the real world. Balancing school with professional responsibilities has strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while motivating me to continue developing my knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.

I’m currently seeking a finance or banking internship where I can bring my work ethic, leadership experience, and perspective into a professional financial environment. My goal is to continue learning from experienced professionals, contribute wherever I can, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in finance.
