About
I am a senior at Atlanta Girls School, graduating in May 2020. While at AGS, I took full advantage of the opportunities provided at school. I was a leader on the swim team, swimming for 7 years. I qualified for State Championships for 5 of those years. I was chosen by administration to serve as a Student Ambassador and Hospitality Crew. As part of student ambassador, I hosted potential students and took them through a traditional school day in the eyes of a student. I was also a member of the yearbook committee every year of high school. I helped run the student support club, an organization which coordinated volunteer activities for the school. I studied abroad in France my junior year, attending school and living with a host family. I was a Chick-Chat leader, meeting and providing guidance with middle school students. Finally, I completed 3 internships focusing on interior design, my chosen field of study. Personally, I founded a camp for girls. I was responsible for leading them in camp and maintained the camp for 7 years.
Academically, I challenged myself and have done well. I will have taken 4 AP classes upon graduation. School has not always been easy for me. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia in the 2nd grade and attended a specialized school for 2 years. In some ways, this was a gift. I realized that I was smart but learned differently. I have grit and resilience, am not easily detoured, and view challenges and failures as learning opportunities. I am leaving high school believing that with hard work I can be successful at whatever I set my mind to.
I plan on attending the University of Kentucky in the fall, majoring in interior design.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am planning on graduating from college in 2024 with a degree in interior design. Following graduation, I am hopeful that I will be able to apply my talents across a range of design opportunities.
- Outside the classroom
In my free time, I enjoy being creative. This might include designing rooms, making 'mood boards', or painting/drawing. I also enjoy working with a jewelry designer, designing and making jewelry. I spend time with my friend, family, and dog!
