About

My name is Kennetia Brooks and I currently direct the clinical care provided from muliple disciplines, to the long term residents and rehab patients of several healthcare facilities within the state of Texas. During the past eight years, I have held a corporate leadership position in the healthcare industry. In this position I have trained the top facility-level clinical leaders of thirty-seven facilities at three major corporations, on service and staff management; facilitated beneficial relationships with community and industry stakeholders; strategically handled crisis and creation of work-cultures of sustainable productivity and recognizable equality. My average results of annual surveys on provision of care are 4 deficiencies and less, with at least two zero-deficiency surveys each year. I have led or been a primary team member of corporate transitionary teams during the acquisitions of 6 new facilities and successfully integrated operational electronic systems, employee training and work-culture shifts.
In my current position, I have created new training formats and corporate-implemented performance assessments by implementing design thinking, innovative evaluation techniques and user-end imput. I have also initiated collaborative relationships, along with my regional director, with third-party vendors which has resulted in regional operational stability, one of our corporation’s highest growth in facility census (June 2021) and deficiency-free survey results (Sept 2019, June 2021). I am one of the featured speakers in the upcoming Texas State DHHS 2021 Virtual Leadership Convention where my presentation will be aired to 1500+ facility leaders. My topic is on Emotional Intelligence_ The leader's essential credential and it focuses on ‘Building and Maintaining Resilient Teams in the Workplace’. My pre-recording was reportedly the highest attended to-date.
Besides the corporate world, I have been a featured speaker at Women’s Convention in 2019, one of two main speakers at an International Day of Prayer Women’s Weekend Retreat 2020, Main Speaker and Evening Presenter at the International Day of Prayer 2021 (Dallas, Texas). I have also led the Health Ministry, presented Women’s Ministry Events and been guest speaker at religious and secular retreats and events. I am the upcoming speaker for Abuse Prevention/End It Now (Tyler, Texas) in August 2021, and Leadership Speaker at a Virtual Leadership Camp in September 2021.
My professional leadership experiences, current leadership degree studies, academic colleague networking, as well as my denominational experiences have personally equipped me to be a successful leader, facilitator, mentor and innovator.
