About
I began my journey in education when I was 18 years old and started working at a youth summer camp. I immediately realized that working full time with youth was my passion! This began what to others may look like a long journey. I worked hard and started school 2 years later. Since that time I have gained valuable experience within the field of social services, provided direct therapy to children on the spectrum and worked directly with youth who have trauma backgrounds. Throughout this journey I have slowly continued my education. Life has required me to find a balance between working, caring for the needs of my family and pursuing the education to work within my chosen field. After taking a little over a year break, I am back to school to finish my undergraduate studies in psychology. I know that this will launch me towards a bright future!

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan to eventually work full time in the counseling world. I already have experience working with children with trauma backgrounds as well as providing direct therapy to children on the spectrum. I have worked hard to gain both experience practically and continue to pursue the education background to help me succeed within this field.
- Graduate school interests
I plan to pursue Counseling, where exactly is still open to change.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies are spending time with my family and reading books that are not textbooks. I also love researching food and nutrition and the connection between what we eat and how our bodies function.
