About

Khoi Le is a second-year master's student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University. He believes that providing mental health care through a systemic lens can effectively promote happiness and life quality of people. He especially focuses his study and career on better serving marginalized populations, such as refugees, people of color, and queer folks.
Currently, he has worked as an intern family therapist at multiple community centers, including the Goldberg Center (Syracuse University) Vera House, and Syracuse Community Connections at the City of Syracuse. He works with families whose members suffer from mental disorders, relational problems, racism, and traumas. His work helped the people to manage the issues more effectively and be able to enjoy their relationships and their life.
Besides that, Khoi invested his time to research in order to generate more information on mental health and relational wellbeing of marginalized communities. He worked with researchers from New York University to assess the effectiveness of an educational intervention for male sex workers in Vietnam. He has currently collaborated with his professor to find better ways to measure fairness in people's close relationships.
