My job path that I want to go down is towards forensic toxicology. The aspects of chemistry in forensic science are very interesting to me and toxicology plays into the chemistry aspects throughly. Through this path I want to work in the crime lab at the state or federal level in the toxicology unit. Being able to be apart of the process of solving a crime would be the ultimate goal with wanting to work in forensic science.

I want to pursue my masters at the University of New Haven in their 4 + 1 program which intails getting your bachelors and masters in 5 years compared to doing it in 6 years. I would be getting my bachelors in Forensic Science and my masters in Chemistry to further my education in the field I want to be in. This program is rigorous with the last year of schooling having classes all year round. I am pushing to do this program to further my education beyond my bachelors. Forensic Science is a competitive job field with many people becoming interested due to tv shows and other forms of media in crime or forensic science. Having my masters would push me above others in the field and give me an upper hand advantage when looking for work opportunities after school.

Hobbies I enjoy doing include listening to crime podcasts as well as doing puzzles, and hanging out with friends/family.
