Kris Swanson

I am an undergraduate that is pursuing a degree in nutrition and exercise physiology. As the United States continues to battle the epidemic that is now being called diabesity, i believe a more collective knowledge of nutrition is essential. I plan to work in my community to ensure kids have a correct knowledge about how nutrition can affect his/hers health, emotions, and energy levels. The first step i plan on taking is furthering the knowledge that carbohydrates, though, may be the main source of energy for the body, they aren't the preferred. Making healthy fats and proteins the staple of the American diet can have immediate results.
