Goals and interests

Career goal

I began my career as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) and advanced to a Clinical III role at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where I have been employed since 2015. In 2018, I successfully challenged the clinical ladder, demonstrating my commitment to professional development and excellence in patient care. My experience in the PICU has allowed me to strengthen my clinical skills and contribute to a high-performing team focused on critical care. Additionally, I was a member of the research team until March 2023, where I contributed to multiple publications and enhanced my abilities in data analysis and evidence-based practice.
I am currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in Health Informatics and Data Analytics. Through this program, I aim to deepen my understanding of data-driven decision-making and the application of advanced technologies in healthcare. My ultimate goal is to leverage these skills to optimize workflows, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to advancements in healthcare research and operations. This educational pursuit represents a pivotal step in expanding my impact beyond bedside care to influence broader systemic improvements in the field.

In my free time, I enjoy a balance of active and reflective pursuits. Surfing, running, and weightlifting keep me energized and focused, while leisurely reading allows me to relax and expand my perspective. I also love cooking, experimenting with flavors to create dishes that bring people together, and traveling to explore new cultures and cuisines. These hobbies not only keep me grounded and adventurous but also reflect my curiosity and drive for personal growth.
