About

Driven by a deep passion for healthcare and service, I am a dedicated pre-physician assistant student with a strong foundation in patient care and academic achievement. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Health and Behavioral Science with a minor in Communications, I have continued to build clinical experience as a medical assistant in dermatology and aesthetics. I was honored to join HonorSociety.org post-graduation in recognition of my commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. My journey has been shaped by caring for my grandmother during her cancer diagnosis, which inspired my calling to become a compassionate, patient-centered provider. I am committed to lifelong learning, leadership, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others through medicine.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is to become a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in either dermatology or oncology. I am passionate about providing patient-centered care that combines clinical expertise with empathy and trust. My goal is to work alongside physicians to diagnose, treat, and educate patients while advocating for their physical and emotional well-being. With a background as a medical assistant and a deeply personal connection to patient care through my experience as a caregiver, I am committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of those I serve. I aspire to be a provider who not only treats conditions, but also builds meaningful relationships and helps patients feel truly seen and supported.

Experience

  • Medical Assistant/Patient Coordinator- MOI Wellness and Aesthetics

At MOI Wellness and Aesthetics, I hold a dual role that integrates clinical care with front-office coordination in a wellness and aesthetic practice. As a medical assistant, I perform B12 injections, venipuncture for wellness panels and hormone therapy labs, SkinPen microneedling treatments, and DiamondGlow facials. I also assist the nurse practitioner with hormone replacement therapy consultations and procedures, ensuring patients receive attentive, high-quality care throughout their visit. In addition to clinical tasks, I support providers by prepping treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, documenting in the electronic medical record, and educating patients on pre- and post-procedure care. I stay current on treatment protocols, skincare products, and wellness services to better assist in guiding patients toward customized care plans. As a patient coordinator, I manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, follow-ups, and payment processing. I handle phone, email, and in-person inquiries, converting leads into consultations and booked treatments while providing an exceptional customer service experience. This role allows me to blend hands-on clinical skills with personalized patient engagement—creating a seamless and welcoming experience for every client.

  • Medical Assistant- Texas Skin Center

At Texas Skin Center, I supported board-certified dermatologists and physician assistants in a busy clinical setting specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. I roomed patients, obtained detailed histories, reviewed medications, and documented chief complaints in the electronic medical record system. I prepared and assisted with a variety of procedures including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and electrosurgery, while ensuring proper sterilization and setup of instruments and trays. I provided pre- and post-operative care instructions, coordinated pathology reports and lab orders, and facilitated prompt communication between patients and providers. I also triaged patient calls, managed prescription refills, obtained prior authorizations, and verified insurance eligibility to ensure smooth clinical operations. In addition to clinical responsibilities, I prioritized patient comfort and education—helping individuals understand their diagnoses, treatment plans, and skincare regimens. My time at Texas Skin Center strengthened my skills in detailed documentation, dermatologic terminology, and efficient, compassionate patient care.

  • Medical Assistant- It's A Secret Medspa

At It’s A Secret Medspa, I worked in a fast-paced, high-end aesthetic environment where I provided both clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. I assisted providers with cosmetic procedures including Botox/Dysport injections and dermal Fillers. I also prepared treatment rooms, maintained strict sanitation protocols, managed product inventory, and documented patient encounters in the electronic medical record system. As a certified phlebotomist, I performed venipuncture for platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) treatments used in facial rejuvenation and hair restoration procedures. I was also trained to independently administer intramuscular B12 injections and hydration IV therapy, supporting patient wellness beyond aesthetics. My responsibilities extended to patient education, where I provided detailed pre- and post-treatment guidance, skincare recommendations, and ensured clients felt informed, supported, and confident in their care. This role strengthened my understanding of facial anatomy, medical-grade skincare, and the importance of combining clinical precision with compassionate, patient-centered service.
