About
My name is Krystavel "Krysta" Ortiz. I am from Odessa, Texas which is also where I was born. I recently just Graduated from Odessa High School in June 2020 and will be graduating from Odessa College with my core basics in July 2020. While in High School, I was on a dance team for 4 years where I met some of my closest friends, found my passion, and learned valuable life lessons. My dance team and I also had many traveling opportunities, as well. We took trips to Dallas and San Antonio, Texas, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. While traveling we had the chance to perform, take dance classes, attend dance conventions, and enjoy attractions. I am excited to be attending the University of North Texas starting fall 2020 to pursue dance as well as medical laboratory sciences. My goal is to become a dancer and take as many opportunities as I can and should something go wrong, I will aim to become a medical laboratory scientist and a dancer on the side.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I will graduate Odessa College this summer with my certificate for my basics. I plan on attending the University of North Texas where I plan to obtain a degree in dance, as well as medical laboratory sciences. My goal is to take pursue dance as a priority first and see what opportunities will be open to me as a dancer. If something goes wrong, my main focus will becoming medical laboratory scientists , while still taking dance opportunities when I can.
- Outside the classroom
Some of my hobbies I enjoy mainly include dancing, singing, painting, and occasionally reading. I also learned how to play the piano and violin at a young age. Although, I don't play as much as I used to anymore. As for fitness, I really enjoy working out and running. It's a good way to start off my day and helps me stay productive.
