About

My name is Kynisha Rogers, I am a full-time student at Community College of Philadelphia. Initially, my major was Psychology, but after reviewing my degree path, I realized that the major more suitable for my career goal was Behavioral Health. I remember when I was in middle school, I made a promise to myself that as long as I am able and in good health, I will make it my duty to help those in need. I'm still trying to figure out what degree I am going to pursue whether it be in Human Services or Social Work. Aside from academics, I enjoy writing. I began writing short stories and love poems, then I began writing longer meaningful poems about the trials I have faced in life. Eventually, I started documenting my life in my journal. I also love to draw! I started a sketch book so I can see my progress. I am currently learning how to play my keyboard and I am basic in acoustic guitar. I grew up in one of the most poverty stricken neighborhoods of Philadelphia, however, it has deeply humbled me. You either allow it to make you or break you and I chose to rise above the heavy influences of Kensington in hopes of returning and providing some type of aid for the community. Fundamentally, I am a kind-hearted. out-going, ambitious, positive individual and I just want to reach the highest level of self-actualization so I can be fit to share my discoveries, wisdom and insight with anyone who is willing to recieve it!
