About
With 25 years of nursing experience, I am dedicated to advancing the profession and advocating for nursing practice. I am a Nationally Certified School Nurse and earned my BSN from Chamberlain University with President's Honors Distinction. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington, maintaining a 4.0 GPA with an expected graduation in March 2026. Following this, I plan to obtain a graduate certificate in Public Health before continuing to a DNP program.
As the Coordinator of Health and Nursing Services in one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, I oversee 12 campus clinics and lead a team of 32 clinic staff. My passion lies in ensuring high-quality healthcare in the school setting and strengthening the role of nurses in education.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My passion for nursing leadership and advocacy drives my long-term career goals. While I love my current role as the Coordinator of Health and Nursing Services for a Texas school district, my continued education is preparing me for higher administrative positions in school and public health. Upon completing my MSN in Nursing Administration, obtaining a graduate certificate in Public Health, and earning my DNP, I plan to transition into leadership roles within larger school districts or at the state level. My focus is on shaping policies, expanding healthcare access for students, and enhancing the integration of nursing within educational and public health systems.
- Graduate school interests
My graduate studies focus on nursing administration, public health, and policy development within school and community health systems. I am particularly interested in leadership strategies that enhance healthcare access for students, strengthen the role of school nurses, and improve health outcomes through evidence-based administrative practices. My academic journey is preparing me to influence policy and advocate for the integration of nursing within educational and public health frameworks at a broader level.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy spending time with my husband and four kids and taking occasional trips to the Texas Hill Country. With my busy schedule balancing work and school, I consider quality time with family my favorite way to recharge.
