Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended job path is to work in Education until I have completed my pre-medicine prerequisites Fall 2018 to Fall 2019 or before, if I can expedite my own degree. I have worked in K thru 12ith Grade education for 10 years, so since 2007 ending in 2017 when I started working with higher education students. Generally, young college student and first-time freshman from under privileged teenagers and young adults from urban and inner cities. I hope to stay working in higher education (college level) with non-profit organizations like East Bay College Fund, Masons Program, Oakland Promise, and Americorps.
As I progress through my pre-medicine educational journey, I pray to get accepted to the University of California San Francisco - Medical School to study medicine - pediatrics to become a pediatrician, which is a field that underrepresented by women and Blacks. I would love to start and finish a residency after medical school in the bay metropolitan area in Northern California. Then, eventually work as a doctor in the East Bay Area, but will definitely be open to working in other commutable areas in the SF- Bay Area in California.
- Graduate school interests
My graduate school interests is the University of California, San Francisco - Medicine OR University of California, Davis - Medicine. I wish to join and get accepted to their Ph.D/MD programs which would take me about another 5 to 7 years of schooling. I am willing to stay in school several more years to become a great doctor. I do not have any other graduate schools interests at all, I really have my heart set on to those two educational institutions.
