Hi, I’m LaKeisha—an event planner, entrepreneur, and creative problem-solver with a passion for turning ideas into meaningful experiences. I’m the owner of La’Kays Events, where I specialize in thoughtful planning, strong attention to detail, and bringing visions to life in a way that feels effortless for my clients. I currently attend Western Kentucky University as a senior and am on track to graduate in December 2026 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Alongside my business and studies, I enjoy sharing practical lifestyle finds and everyday solutions that make life easier, more organized, and more enjoyable. Whether I’m planning an event or recommending a product, my goal is always the same: to save time, reduce stress, and help people feel confident in their choices.

Goals and interests

Career goal: My intended career path is to continue building my experience in business operations, event planning, and client management while completing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Western Kentucky University. After graduating in December 2026, I plan to pursue roles that allow me to strengthen my skills in project coordination, marketing, and strategic planning, ideally within the events, hospitality, or entrepreneurial space. Long term, my goal is to expand La’Kays Events by securing a dedicated venue, increasing my client base, and developing additional revenue streams through rentals, partnerships, and curated services. Through hands-on experience and continued learning, I aim to grow as a business leader while creating meaningful experiences and sustainable opportunities for my community.
Graduate school interests: My graduate school interests are focused on advancing my knowledge in business strategy, leadership, and data-informed decision-making to support long-term entrepreneurial growth. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Western Kentucky University in December 2026, I am interested in pursuing a master’s degree in a business-related field such as Business Analytics, Management, or Entrepreneurship. Graduate study would allow me to deepen my understanding of market analysis, financial planning, and operational efficiency while strengthening my ability to make strategic decisions backed by data. This advanced education will directly support my goal of expanding La’Kays Events, securing a permanent venue, and developing multiple revenue streams through event rentals and related services. Ultimately, graduate school represents a strategic step toward becoming a more effective business leader and positioning my company for sustainable, long-term success.
