About

My name is Lakira Williams, and I’m 17 years old. Helping others is my passion because I feel like it’s my calling in life. I have a natural ability to feel and absorb the emotions of the people around me, which helps me connect with them on a deeper level. People often tell me I’m a great listener and that I always know what to say to make them feel better. They’ve called me their light in a dark place, their star, or even a pillar of strength. Knowing I can bring comfort and hope to others means everything to me.

Throughout my school career, I’ve worked hard to maintain good grades while balancing a job and helping take care of my family. As the oldest of five siblings in a single-mother household, I’ve learned a lot about leadership, patience, and responsibility. I enjoy interpreting ideas, thinking deeply, and expressing myself with thoughtful and creative words.

Despite the challenges I face, I stay resilient and grounded because I know my purpose is to bring light to others’ lives. I’m proud to be someone people can lean on and trust, and I strive every day to grow into the best version of myself.
