About
I am searching for a college that is as unique as I am. I intend to pursue a degree in engineering because I believe that this degree will enable me to achieve my personal and professional goals of helping lead a new era of technological innovation. A degree from a top rated engineering program will ensure that I "hit the ground running" when I graduate and make meaningful contributions as soon as I am hired. As I pursue an advanced degree, my undergraduate degree will give me the academic credentials needed to apply to any graduate school I think that would be right for me. College will be my catalyst to the next stage of my academic career and personal life. The leadership skills and academic knowledge I gain are going to shape my view of the world with UA serving as the source of this transformation. By having that knowledge and experience I feel that I would have an edge over other graduates from other schools.
I believe engineering one of many academic fields that will experience a great surge in relevance in the near future and also because there are many economic indicators that show major growth in this field such as sales exceeding prediction by nearly $218 billion in the United States in 2012. I believe that as human beings we should take every opportunity we can to better and enrich the lives of everyone that we can. It's amazing to me how so many people let opportunities that can show that they are caring, brave, and compassionate pass them by every day. The way most people have become numb to the problems they see everyday such as poverty, bullying, and poor education saddens me and makes me want to help wherever I am even more.
