Lanea Jones

I am currently a Nursing student at Cuyahoga Community College at the eastern campus in Ohio. I am studying to become a pediatric register nurse. Being in the medical field has always been my destiny seeing that I am a natural-born care giver. I grew up as the middle child of seven and since I was a young child I use to help my family members with their medications or illnesses. I know for a fact that being a RN is the right career choice for me because I am passionate, fearless, and I am selfless. In March 2020, I joined the COVID-19 Crisis team despite being given the option to not care for patients that tested positive for the coronavirus. I was afraid but I knew that caring for people that needed me is my purpose in life. I treat every patient as if they are a part of my family because every deserves kindness, love, and world class care. I work very hard to achieve my goals; I have managed to receive honor roll multiple times throughout my school career and I go above and beyond at work. I currently work at Cleveland Clinic hospital as a PCNA and I plan on staying once I become a RN.
