Lashondra Felder

I have been an undergraduate at the University of Baltimore since August 2012. I recently graduated with honors on May 15, 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in the field of Criminal Justice. I am a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success where I have learned to brand myself and get known to individuals in my field. I currently work for the Department of Defense in Washington DC which was a goal I set for myself to accomplish after graduating. I was honored to reach that goal 3 months before graduating. I have worked in the Criminal Justice field since I was 20 and now I am 39. I have been a Baltimore Coty Police Officer, Baltimore City Sheriff, and a communication specialist for Baltimore City Police. I have worked for the city of Baltimore for 18 and a half years before moving on the DOD. I plan to move from DOD to the FBI and I would like to continue my education all the way through to the Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice. I would like to make changes for the better to the criminal justice system by making new laws and helping those who have been wronged but still maintaining to keep the bad guys and gals off the street. There is a way to do both with compromising the system. I believe that I will be a great asset to the criminal justice field because I know both sides the civilian and sworn side. I can relate to both and therefore have a better insight on what changes need to be done.
