About
My name is LaTausha Daniels and I am from Birmingham, Alabama. I am currently enrolled in the Doctoral Educational Leadership program at Samford University. I have earned my bachelors, two masters, and an education specialist degrees. I am a proud National Board Certified Teacher, and currently serve as an independent consultant for NBPTS and other affiliates.
I aspire to provide real, relevant, and relational leadership in all areas that I serve. I aspire to become an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. I have served in the field of education since 2001, holding several leadership roles for schools and districts. I have had the honor to serve as a consultant for assessment centers, the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, and as a national trainer for the Minority Leadership Team with NEA.
I am a divorced mother of three awesome children, and enjoy traveling with them in my spare time. They are also the reason why I continue to push myself on this path of leadership. They are my first act of leading by example.
In addition to volunteering with various organizations, I have founded my own non profit organization, The Good Girl Project Inc. Our mission is to empower women in the areas of Literacy, Economics, Aspirations, and progress. Through our LEAP for Growth program, girls ages 14-25, have the opportunity to learn and grow in our four core areas, while also connecting with mentors.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I began my career as an educator in 2001. I served as a classroom teacher, for grades that span from 7th to 12th grade, for 12 years. During that time, I accomplished my goal of earning National Board Certification. I also during that time earned my first Master's degree and Education Specialist degrees.
I have now set new goals. Currently, I serve as a Curriculum Coach. I have served in this position since I left the classroom. It is my goal to serve in this position one more year. I plan to become an assistant principal of an elementary school. After one year as assistant principal, I plan to become Principal. After three years as principal, I plan to become a director of curriculum and instruction, ultimately becoming an assistant superintendent.
I have learned that leadership opportunities aren't chosen, they choose us... therefore I am ready to shift when it's time.- Graduate school interests
I am a doctoral student at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
Anticipated Conferral is December 2019
