Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am interested in becoming a mental health counselor. I have a few populations that I am interested in working with. First, I would like to work with people with felony convictions who are trying to work through their past traumas. Second, I would like to work with children and families. Finally, I would like to work with couples.
- Graduate school interests
I am a student and parent of a 30 year old daughter and 10 year old son. My family gets the majority of my time outside of work and school. My son is currently interested in soccer and video games so my weekends are filled with practice and play. Professionally, I am a case manager/re-entry specialist for a kitchen re-entry program called REfire. We help our students to develop job skills and obtain certifications to become leaders in restuarant kitchens.
