About
Hello, my name is LaTonya M Youngblood. I am a Self- Contained Special Education teacher to students K- 5th. I have been in this role for three year, and the other two years I was a Reading resource teacher, and helped to start up a behavior program for a district. I graduated with my Bachelor in English from University of Phoenix. I am currently seeking my Masters Degree in Special Education from Lamar University. My greatest joy has been to be able to be involved with individuals that has taught me more than I could have ever imagined learning. I strive in giving my entire self to every situation; and pride myself know that throughout the process I will leave a little bit of me everywhere I go. Special Education holds a special place in my heart. I am these kids voice, and promise to always advocate for them and their rights. I am striving to be a Special Education Director or a Behavior Coordinator for the district. I have started creating a curriculum for the district in terms of behavior plans and support to help bridge the gap between teachers and students that are struggling with appropriate behaviors. This has been such a joy to be able to watch all of my hardwork reach students district wide vs. a classroom. I am eager to continue to grow and step into the role that I am destined for in the future.
