About

I am a dedicated doctoral student, healthcare professional, and organizational consultant with more than 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance. My academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to leadership, continuous learning, and improving organizational effectiveness within healthcare environments. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009 and later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Business Administration in 2016, both of which strengthened my analytical, leadership, and strategic planning abilities.

Beyond my academic and professional accomplishments, I am also a devoted mother, spouse, and caregiver who values resilience, compassion, and perseverance. Balancing family responsibilities while pursuing advanced education has strengthened my determination and leadership capabilities. I am passionate about creating positive change within organizations, mentoring others, and contributing to healthcare systems that promote both employee well-being and quality patient care.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is centered on healthcare leadership, organizational consulting, and workforce development within long-term care and healthcare systems. Through my doctoral studies, professional experience, and research interests, I aspire to become a transformational leader who contributes to improving healthcare organizations, strengthening workforce retention, and enhancing the quality of patient care.

One of my primary career goals is to work in executive healthcare leadership or organizational development roles where I can influence policies, communication strategies, and operational practices that support both employees and patients. I am particularly interested in addressing staffing shortages, employee retention, leadership development, and organizational culture within long-term care facilities and healthcare organizations. My doctoral research on nurse retirements and staffing shortages has further strengthened my passion for developing sustainable solutions that improve workforce stability and care quality.

Graduate school interests

While attending Colorado Technical University and pursuing my doctoral degree, my graduate school interests have focused on healthcare leadership, organizational development, workforce sustainability, and improving the quality of care within long-term care facilities. My academic interests are strongly connected to understanding how leadership, communication, and organizational culture influence employee retention, operational effectiveness, and patient outcomes in healthcare settings.

Another significant graduate school interest includes leadership development and transformational leadership practices. Throughout my doctoral program, I have studied various leadership theories and their applications within healthcare and organizational settings. These studies have strengthened my interest in becoming a leader who promotes innovation, ethical decision-making, employee empowerment, and organizational growth.

My graduate education has also increased my interest in contributing to scholarly research, mentorship, and higher education. I value opportunities to share knowledge, support future professionals, and contribute to research that addresses real-world healthcare challenges. Ultimately, my experiences at Colorado Technical University have reinforced my commitment to lifelong learning, professional growth, and making a meaningful contribution to healthcare organizations and the communities they serve.
