About

I'm an Environmental Science student in the Honors College at Oklahoma State University with a passion for environmental policy, water resources, and protecting the places people call home. I believe effective environmental stewardship requires both sound science and thoughtful policy, and I'm driven by opportunities to connect the two through meaningful public service.

This summer, I served as a Stormwater Team Intern with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) through the prestigious Mickey Leland Environmental Internship Program. In this role, I reviewed Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) annual reports for compliance with state and federal permit requirements, managed regulatory data, and gained firsthand experience with environmental permitting, stormwater management, and implementation of the Clean Water Act. The experience reinforced my interest in environmental compliance and the role government agencies play in protecting natural resources.

My background combines environmental policy, fieldwork, leadership, and service. I've conducted wildlife monitoring near wind energy facilities, supported workplace safety and environmental compliance, removed invasive species through AmeriCorps NCCC, helped build affordable housing with Habitat for Humanity, and led youth ministry teams across Oklahoma. Each experience has strengthened my ability to solve problems, communicate effectively, and adapt to new challenges while serving diverse communities.

As I continue my studies, I'm interested in opportunities involving environmental policy, regulatory compliance, water quality, natural resource management, and environmental consulting. My goal is to build a career where I can combine science, policy, and public service to help protect our environment for future generations.

I'm always happy to connect with professionals, fellow students, and organizations working to advance environmental stewardship and sustainable resource management.
