Goals and interests
- Career goal
As an ophthalmologist, my dream would be to sub-specialize in cornea and refractive surgeries, thus being able to perform vision-saving and restoring surgeries such as cataract surgeries, laser vision correction, corneal transplants, and other surgeries. With this specialization, I would be able to provide patients with a greater quality of life that they may not have had access to previously. I would be able to provide them with the chance to get back the sight they have lost due to cataracts, to be able to see clearly without the need for glasses or contact lenses with laser vision correction, and also to be able to receive corneal transplants to help restore their vision. I strongly believe that this specialization would be an invaluable asset to the medical field, allowing me to make a significant difference in the lives of many people.
I have been blessed to work alongside my mentor, who has been doing my dream job for the past 65 years and is a leading doctor in his field, with many inventions, publications, and awards under his belt. His accomplishments are an inspiring reminder of what one can achieve with dedication and hard work. His continued faith in me and my abilities and intelligence has kept me pushing through education even though it's a very long journey from here to MD. His legacy of success serves as a testament to the immense potential within us all, and a reminder of the importance of hard work and resilience in the pursuit of our dreams.
From COA to MD is a very long road, I have many obstacles and a lot of time in school ahead of me. Despite the long road ahead, I am determined to pursue my passion and make a lasting impact on the lives of my patients. I am confident that with hard work and dedication, I can reach my goal and become a successful doctor.
