Laura Thompson

Hello! My name is Laura, and I am a fourth-year Environmental Science student at the University of Idaho with an emphasis in management and policy. I grew up in the beautiful mountains of Southern Idaho, which fostered my love for the outdoors. I grew up skiing, hiking, camping, etc., and got into this field because I wanted to work in the outdoors. Over time, my focus has shifted towards big-picture management, with the desire to protect the natural resources that I believe are so valuable to our society. After graduating with my bachelor's this spring, I plan to further my education by pursuing a master's degree in hydrology, continuing to build the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to a sustainable future.
