About
My name is Lauren Marshall, and as a full-time student and mother I am striving to get my Bachelor's degree in Nursing. My passion for nursing was sparked when I gave birth to my amazing-crazy-insane son, Jase, who is now 2 years old. The experience was so uplifting it inspired me to pursue a career in obstetric nursing, and possibly one day become a Certified Registered Nurse Midwife. As a second-degree seeking student I have changed the way I study and approach school. Now that I am older I am able to think more critically and see the importance of the information that I am required to study. This second chance at a new career is life-changing for both me and my son, and I am thankful everyday for the opportunity I have been granted.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Once I graduate with a BSN I plan to get experience, while applying to grad school to a Nurse Practitioner program. I intent to work and attend school, and ultimately wish to become a Certified Registered Nurse Midwife and work in rural areas of Texas.

I am interested in a attending a Nurse Practitioner program immediately following graduation with my BSN.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies are numerous and mostly include activities that get me and my son outdoors. We enjoy hiking, mountain biking, running, swimming, and kayaking, among many more things.
