About

Leah is an actor, singer, playwright, director, and educator. Along with touring all over the Midwest with her band, The Big Payback, she has worked with great theatre companies such as The Children's Theatre of Madison, The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, The American Theatre Company, The Goodman Theatre, Victory Gardens, Emerald City Theatre, Barrel of Monkeys Productions, among many others.

In 2016 she was commissioned to create a youth arts program that works on behavior modification, and educates students about mental health. This brought her to the Michiana area where she has directed award winning shows including the 2018 award winning hit, “In the Heights” with South Bend Civic Theatre and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. She was slated to direct West Side Story with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra this Spring, but due to Covid-19 that has had to be postponed until October 2021.

While her love of performing and directing is still ever present, her career path has shifted slightly. She intends to zero-in on using the expressive arts in therapy. Her studies at DePaul University are leading her into the mental health field as an applied behavioral sciences major. She intends to go to grad school to pursue her MA in counseling.
