About
Howdy!
Ever since I was little, I have always said that I wanted to be a teacher when I grow up, and now my dreams are finally becoming true. Coming from a family of educators, I have grown up seeing the ups and downs of teaching and it is still something that continually calls me. I have such a deep passion for teaching and I am so blessed to be able to follow along the career path I have choosen. I know how much heart and dedication is required of me and it is something I am more than willing to committ my life to. Teaching is what I love and it is what I am meant to do.
In December 2015, I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas with a Bachelors of Science, Interdisciplinary Studies Generalist degree. My undergrad degree focuses on early childhood through 6th grade and I am officially certified in the state of Texas. I have my certification in Generalist Supplemental, ESL, and PPR. In the spring of 2015 I was chosen to participate in the 4+1 Masters Program. Which I am still currently enrolled in to complete my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Hopefully I will obtain my D. Ed. by Fall 2016.
With the completion of my undergraduate degree, I am able to gain experience in the classroom by subbing in the current district where I live while also being able to focus on completing my masters. This opportunity not only allows me to focus on furthering my education in a field that I love, but it also allows me to gain experience in multiple grade levels so I am able to find the best possible fit. I am also able to experience different consistencies of students in different classroom situations. These differentiating experiences will help prepare me for my future classroom so that I can be the best possible teacher I can be.
Over the course of my undergraduate career I was a founder and President for 2 years of a Sweethearts Chapter, Texas A&M Sweethearts, women's organization on campus. This experience is something I am very proud of, along with all the lessons the experience has taught me. Not only will I leave a lasting impression at Texas A&M University, but I have learned many valuable skills that will help me in my future career. Founding and holding the presidential role taught me how to lead, and to lead in a way that is fair and everyone's voice is heard. Holding this position and working an average 5 days a week, I also learned how to manage my time efficiently by maintaining and graduating Cum Lade with a 3.68 cumulative GPA and 3.8 major GPA.
All of the experiences and skills gained during my undergraduate degree has prepared me to start off my masters degree as strong as I possibly can. Currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA in graduate school, I have continually pushed my self to be the possible version of myself as I can be. All of my life experiences combined with my passion and heart to serve young minds is what drives me every single day.
I am eager to continue furthering my education and cannot wait to begin my teaching career. Seeing students transform and expand their knowledge is one of the most rewarding feelings I have ever felt. My future students are the reasons that I will continue to constantly work at improving myself and becoming the best educator and role model for the children I encounter.

Recently graduating in December 2015 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, my degree focuses on early childhood through 6th grade.
