About
My name is Lidia Morales, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. I am passionate about helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered—whether that’s in my career goals, my community, or my daily interactions at work.
I work full-time at Chick-fil-A, where I’ve grown as a leader, a mentor, and a supporter for my team. My experience in a fast-paced, people-centered environment has shaped my strengths in communication, empathy, and resilience. I take pride in encouraging others, creating a positive environment, and showing that kindness and patience can make a real difference.
Education has always been important to me, and returning to graduate school while balancing long work hours, financial responsibilities, and personal goals has taught me determination and discipline. I’m working toward becoming a licensed professional counselor so I can use my skills to help individuals and families break cycles, heal from past hardships, and build healthier futures.
What drives me most is the belief that every person deserves compassion, hope, and someone who believes in their potential. My journey has been far from easy, but every challenge has pushed me to grow stronger, stay committed, and keep moving toward the career I know I’m meant for.
Thank you for visiting my honor page and supporting my educational journey. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for the impact I’ll make in the future.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended job path is deeply connected to my family and the work we began in 2018. My dad, who suffered with substance abuse but with the help and support of my mom and I, started a substance abuse treatment company with the goal of supporting individuals and families who need guidance, stability, and a second chance. As I work toward my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I’m preparing to take on a larger role within the company and eventually lead it into its next chapter. This isn’t just a career to me; it’s a legacy that my family has built with purpose and heart. My dream is to continue expanding our program, strengthening our services, and helping more people break cycles of addiction so they can rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.
- Graduate school interests
My graduate school interests focus on gaining the clinical skills, ethical grounding, and practical experience needed to support individuals and families affected by trauma, substance use, and mental health challenges. I want to grow into the kind of counselor who can truly help people rebuild their lives. I am especially interested in learning evidence-based approaches, understanding family dynamics, and developing strong counseling techniques that will prepare me for licensure and direct service work.

Biggest Achievement: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Grades COVID19 In an effort to help students during the COVID-19 outbreak, they will be able to choose how their courses are graded for the 2020 Spring semester. The letter grade will be graded on a classic A-F scale and this option will affect the student's grade point average. A satisfactory or unsatisfactory option will be given to those who pass or fail their class. In this case, the student will receive credit for the course but it will not affect their GPA. Starting point for the legislation that went A&M wide.
