About
Hello! My name is Lilian Guarneros-Amarillas and I am a Liberal Arts: Elementary Education major at San Diego State University. I live at home with my two younger brothers and mother. At a very young age, I was determined to be a teacher in order to create that spark in students and encourage them to be better personally and professionally. I strongly believe that with the correct guidance, support and example a student can be successful at anything they set their mind to. After I graduate with my bachelors in 2018 from SDSU, my goal is to attend Harvard seeking a Master's in Non-Profit Management. Working with a local non-profit made me realize my passion for community and civil engagement through enriching programs. My goal is to one day create my own non-profit company that assists low-to-moderate income students get resources needed to achieve higher education.
