Liliana Nunez

I am the first in my family that will continue pursuing my education and having the intentions to completing college. Being the oldest out of my family's 2nd generation I have always been the one to be an example for my younger family members. Since childhood I have been instilled to be diligent and humble of what I have and have been given. Embracing my culture and seeing the conditions in which my family members in Mexico and El Salvador live in it has given me inspiration to help those that need a hand. Health conditions runs in my family and it can be changed by nutrition alone. Learning this made me realize that I can help them by simply showing them nutritional alternatives and such is what gave me the idea to pursue in health sciences. Though since I'm not entirely set on being a nutritionist I chose to attend Salt Lake Community College to do my generals and explore careers that involve nutritional health science. My culture and family is what has guided me into this decision and I am humble to everything that I have and all of the opportunities that has been given to me.
