Linden Lewis

I intend to pursue a career in journalism or a similar writing career. Next summer, I plan on working for my local publishing company in an unpaid internship position. I hope to build on this experience during my college education.

Drumming/Percussion: I have been enrolled in my high school's concert band for 3 years and taken private lessons for 5. In the process, I have mastered concert and classical pieces on a variety of percussion and mallet instruments and participated in 5+ concerts and festivals year round. I have also helped to pioneer a small jazz combo with a rhythm section made up entirely of women. We practice for 3-5 hours a week and have participated in 3+ jazz festivals.
Biking: As a recreational biker, I organiz group rides exploring nearby neighborhoods and landmarks, improve my personal physical endurance and make an effort to promote sustainable transportation among my peers. Reading: I read and analyze a variety of fictional literature, both classic and modern, in and outside of school.
