About
Hi, my name is Lindsay McShane and here is a short introduction to who I am. In 2016, I was salutatorian of my graduating class at Amity High School, which is a small, rural town just off Highway 99. I grew up on a farm with my two parents, Reg and Michelle, and with my two brothers, TR and Devin. From a very young age I raised hogs on the farm and participated in 4-H, as well as took part in sports. Once I reached high school, I decided to give up 4-H and focus on just athletics along with my academics. While being a varsity member in volleyball, basketball, and track I was able to maintain an unweighted GPA of 4.0 throughout my high school career. In order to push myself academically I enrolled in college credit courses, such as Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Calculus, and College Writing 121 and 122. School was, and is still, my main priority, but I still manged to get involved with other extracurricular activities. I was president of our school's National Honor Society, heavily involved in leadership activities, such as Homecoming and Prom organizational committees, and was a three sport athlete.
Now that I'm in college, I've maintained the 4.0 status after my first fall term at Oregon State University and I couldn't be happier. I'm also a participant on the Women's Track and Field team here at OSU and it's been a great experience thus far. Being a collegiate track athlete is an honor and I know that my success in the classroom is what has allowed me this exciting opportunity.
