- Career goal
My goal is to work as a nurse in the medical field, and I intend to work with children. This being said, I would love to work as either a NICU nurse or a pediatric nurse, or a pediatric nurse in the ER. Currently, I am beginning my freshman year of college at FSU university with intentions of pursing a bachelors degree in nursing.

My name is Lisdy Pinon-Valencia, I am 18 years old and will be a freshman student at Florida State University. During my free time, I enjoy a variety of different hobbies. Such as my love for reading, I enjoy reading all kinds of different books and enjoy reading all kinds of different facts, and my favorite genres to read are mystery books and fictional fantasy. Through my love for reading, I also developed a deep passion for writing, too. I love to write, I keep journals to not only document how I'm feeling and what my thoughts are, but I love to write about anything, and I also write stories of mystery and fiction of my own. When I'm not reading or writing in my free time, I have a deep love for nature and enjoying its quiet beauty. I love sitting outside in my backyard and enjoying the flowers in my mom's garden, I love traveling to parks or nature resorts and enjoying the nature there. My favorite place is Smokey Mountains, Tennesse, because there is a beautiful forest and so much nature to see and take in, like waterfalls and mountains. I hope you enjoyed reading some more about me and my favorite hobbies!

My role as a volunteer in this hospital was an aid to hospital staff such as nurses, which I aided in helping with tending to patients and other clinical tasks, and I also aided with helping the cafeteria staff in supplying and handing out food to hospital workers. I also delivered the hospital food in carts to the patient's rooms, where I also assisted the workers in making sure their meals were properly prepared, packaged, and organized. Through this volunteer experience I learned more about what the values of hospital staff, such as empathy, kindness and dedication in taking care of the patients at the hospital.
