About

Dear Member Recruiter,

My name is Liz Sarai Guinan, and I am applying to be a member of the HonorSociety. I learned about this opportunity through peer of mine and believe I am qualified to fulfill the position as a member. I will earn my Bachelor of Arts degree of Political Science and International Relations with two (2) certificates being: Pre-law and National Secuirty from Florida International University in 2017. My area of expertise lies in planning, team building and organization, as well as office management. My goal is to gain experience and knowledge through various internships in order to improve my leadership and technical abilities.

I am an ambitious and driven student who excels in research, time management, and problem- solving. I am bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish, and have experience working under supervision and in an office setting. I have knowledge of technology such as Apple computers and Mac OSX software, as well as with Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I am detail- oriented and a fast learner, capable of completing on-the-job training, basic procedures, and work assignments in an efficient and professional manner. I am also excellent at communicating effectively; I have not only taken a course in Public Speaking, but have a wealth of experience in communications as well.
Since of January 2016, I have been working for congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, assisting all congressional aides with their assignments, researching regulations, as well as helping constituents. I was also an assistant at Great Properties International from May 2013 to January 2014. As an assistant, I was responsible for clerical tasks such as filing paperwork, organizing files, and answering phone calls; in addition, I promoted real estate properties and ran the company's website and social media accounts. My work increased the company's number of clients tenfold. Furthermore, I was a Writing Fellow at Florida International University from January to May 2015. I aided fellow students in improving their writing skills by proofreading their papers and offering constructive feedback. Currently, I am an intern in the marketing department at 300 Engineering Group, P. A. because of my valuable skill set, I was given the task of writing the company's business plan myself. The successful completion of this assignment allowed me to assist the company in drafting and implementing several other plans, including those for public relations, document control, and business development.

What the Honor Society needs is a student who pursues her goals and will maintain the integrity of the honor society.

All the best, Liz S. Guinan
