About
My name is Logan Harr. I recently attended Patrick Henry Community College where I served as president of the Phi Theta Kappa as well as president of the Student Government Association. I transferred from Dalton State College, located in Northern Georgia, where I studied Business Management. I am a fulltime student at Radford University. I am a Senior Analyst in the Energy Sector of SMIPO, and I plan to obtain my Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting here at Radford University.
For my entire life, I have been mentored and lead by my father, David Harr, who owns his own successful construction business. I have gained superior customer service skills, an aggressive hunger for business, a thorough knowledge in business operations, and a great understanding of administrative accounting principles. It has been the observations of the weaknesses of his business that has inspired me to extend my education.
Over the years, I have learned the “ins and outs of contracting” from his business and have been presented the opportunity to take over for him when he retires. It is this opportunity that has sparked my collegiate endeavors to further my education. Receiving an education will allow me to gain the knowledge and resources available to continue the work that my father has started. My goal is to restructure his business into an environmental real-estate development benefit corporation as well as to start a non-profit that will partner with this benefit corporation. Obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting will allow me to continue learning the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as an entrepreneur.
