About
My name is Lois Burgos, and I am a high school senior at Fordham High School for the Arts. I was raised in The Bronx, New York. My major in my school is visual arts. My intended college I want to attend is either the School of Visual Arts or the Fashion Institute of Technology. Growing up, I have always been a shy person who's main goal was to get good grades. Because of my ASD diagnosis, I've always had a hard time communicating with people, even if it's to ask for help. Both of my parents would tell me to get good grades and put my education first. They would tell me to be positive and have faith. But because of where we live, and because of where we are when it comes to money, it's sometimes hard for me to be positive and have faith. My goal in life to be successful. To have a good job and be a part of something I want to be a part of. My goal is to be happy, in doings the things I love.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After graduating high school, my goal is to become an illustrator/filmmaker. What I want to do for my career is to create different illustrations that depict how I view our society and/or create movies/cartoons.
- Graduate school interests
My plan during/after college is to get a job as an illustrator for either a book, or for a movie/cartoon.
- Outside the classroom
As of right now, I have three hobbies. My first hobby is drawing in my sketchbook. Drawing while listening to music has always kept me calm whenever I'm stressed and/or sad. My second hobby is writing in my journal. At the end of the day, I write poems about what has happened on that day. Whether the day was good or bad. Last but not least, my third hobby is reading. Sometimes during my free time, I read some poems and some fiction/coming-of-age books.
