About
I am curently a Student at the University of Connecticut pursuing an undergraduate degree in history. I started out going part-time then switched to full-time at Norwalk Community College, while working part-time as well. It took me a while to settle on a major, but once I did I followed through. I worked during the day and went to school at night so I could pay for the classes, and graduated Cum Laude with an Associate in Paralegal Studies in 2010. I have been working full-time for the past few years at First County Bank in Stamford Connecticut, while continuing to work with a not-for-profit, I've been with since 2003. The non-profit, Animal Rights Allience or Project-Save-A-Cat, is very active in local government, defending animals both wild and domestic from harm. It's a small orgaization so they mostly attend town hall meetings about local hunting and other animal related issues and writing letters to the editor of local newspapers. They also run a no-kill shelter for cats which is where I voluteer. Dispite the long hours and full schedule I decided to continue my education and applied to UCONN. So far it's been a great experience and I look forward to continuing my studies here, and using the degree I will eventually have to expand on my employment opportunities.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I have always been interested in history and law, I have recently also become interested in public administration so I am very open to a variety of job posibilites. I would like to focus my interest on jobs within the goverment, but as I've said, I'm open to other possiilites as well.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in going to UCONN for my graduate studies, however I will probably apply to other colleges as well to keep my options open. I am interested in pursuing studies in history or possibly public administration or even law. I look forward to new experiences while I pusue my undergrad degree which may influence me to follow a certain path. So I like the idea of staying open to new and unigue possibilities.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy reading, in fact I have a rather large book collection with authors such as, Sherrilyn Keyon, Ted Bell and Andy McDermott. I love to read many different genres, including some manga and classic novels as well. I also enjoy being outside, I used to go camping when I was young, so I've always liked hiking and exploring the outdoors.
