Lori Medellin

My name is Lori Medellin, I'm currently a Sophomore at Oklahoma State University. I'm from Mannford, Oklahoma, which was a very small town.During the beginning of high school for me, I had to focus on school and my father being in and out of the hospital frequently. My mother, an x-ray tech, worked hard to support my sister, who is now ten, and I during school while also managing the bills from the hospital. At the end of my senior year, my father passed, leaving my mother widowed. College preparations for us was a struggle, I paid my way through college while working and being a student full time. It was tough, but I see it as a live and learn situation.
