Goals and interests
- Career goal
Improving my knowledge every day, learning new things, discovering how the tiniest living thing on Earth has its structure has always amazed me. That's why I major in the Science of Life. I have always been fascinated by the fundamental processes of life that happen on a cellular level. And I set my goals to pursue my studies in molecular biology, primarily in molecular neuroscience, the effects of genetics and epigenetics on neural development. I was born and raised in Haiti. I came to the United States three years ago. Last summer I had the chance to participate to an undergraduate research program with two mentors at my current college, "Union County College.", which helped a lot to find my path and discover in what I should focus my interest.
- Graduate school interests
After getting my Bachelor degree I would like to pursue my studies until I get my PhD, while I will be working on
- Outside the classroom
In my spare time, I enjoy being in charge of different activities such as parties, meeting, and coordinated the class for the annual contest at my church Eglise Baptiste de la Nouvelle Jerusalem. I currently volunteer as a secretary for the Black Student Union club at my school Union County Colege. I also appreciate reading science fiction, novel, going out family, friends, and babysitting for them when needed.
