Luke Wright

I am currently a high school running start student at Glacier Peak High School and Cascadia College. I plan to transfer to Whitworth University in the fall, where I will study Psychology. In the long term I would love to become a therapist and help people get through the obstacles in their lives. Also I continually participate in different community service activities. These activities include annual winter kids camps, annual summer kids camps, and monthly dinners for low income families. I have a strong work ethic and love to help others. I am apart of my local church and their worship music team. My primary hobby is playing music. I love playing my trumpet and bass guitar any time and any setting. For this reason, I want to go to a school with a strong music program. I have preformed at jazz clubs in Seattle and consistently participate in state music competitions. Also I have played for two years as a guest member of the Northwest University Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ron Cole. to continue in this passion I plan to minor in music. As I continue to a university I am excited for the opportunities and obstacles that lie ahead.
